Budgie - Bandolier (1975)
For a heavy metal group, I honestly can't think of a more ill-fitting name than Budgie. Metal is a genre where it's preferable to have a name that strikes fear into the hearts of listeners. "Budgie" doesn't really strike fear into the hearts of anybody. Sure, the band gamely try to make budgies SEEM threatening, but bird-headed men on horseback are less "frightening" and more "really strange," like something you'd see on a bad acid trip.
Honestly the only way these birds could prove their worth to me is if they sought out and slaughtered that baby seal thing that Riot have as their mascot. Not because I think Riot's mascot is a huge threat to a group of birds on horseback, but more because I want it dead.
