Jo Basile - Accordion de Paris (1959)

I like how whoever was responsible for this album cover figured that your average suburban 1950s businessman or homebody wouldn't have a damned clue that an album was supposed to be French in origin if they didn't make it really blatantly obvious. I mean, playing a game of "count the stereotypes" is yielding scores I previously thought were unattainable. Unfortunately, these same marketers made a crucial error in assuming that your average white suburban individual of the 1950s would be interested in music from a bunch of Frenchies in the first place. Ah, c'est la vie.

Cerrone - Cerrone's Paradise (1976)

My personal paradise also involves nude women giving themselves back problems on ancient appliances and wearing a dorky leisure suit while some mysterious white substance congeals on the floor! It's like Cerrone and I are cut from the same swarthy, hairy cloth!

Les Excentriques - Les Excentriques (1965)

Why yes, I DO find it eccentric that there exists a band comprised entirely of cloned, life-sized Ken dolls. In fact, I find it really fucking terrifying. Ever since I first saw this album cover, I've been having nightmares where they all run me over in a life-sized version of Barbie's pink Cadillac, unnatural grins plastered onto their faces while they continue to hold their pink guitars, as the plastic sheen of their clothing and hair holds me in a daze as the car comes in closer and closer and closer.

I may never sleep again.
